A look at the predicted keys:
- Hold the Tigers under 70 possessions (Actual Value: 68. Well done.)
- Outrebound the opposition (Pack wins here 30-25. Even "weller" done!)
- Turn it over only five times less than Clemson (Both teams with 11. And in a razor close game, one turnover could have made a difference)
- Clemson shooting 60% in the first half. It's not like these were all layups either. What can you do?
- The discovery of the lineup that Coach Lowe has been looking for. If Mays/Degand/Wood/Howell/Smith don't start against Duke, I'm rushing the court.
i am trying to understand why State teams in big games at home have a history of coming out flat like they did against Clemson. This has not occurred just under Lowe, as such games occurred but also under Sendek, espcially in games against UNC; i.e. the game against UNC at Raleigh in Sendek's last year and the game against UNC in Raleigh in Melvin's and Sherril's senior year. on the other hand Robinson's teams as bad as they were some times played way above their head to beat UNC; i.e. Gugs senior year (both times) and Fuller's senior year.
ReplyDeleteany ideas?
let me rewrite that last comment to correct and error:
