Nevertheless, keep your fingers crossed.
A source with knowledge of the situation told WRAL Monday afternoon that an appeal is in place with the NCAA clearinghouse.Don't blame them for trying, but at this stage in the summer (mid July), and given that State isn't a cash cow for NCAA, I seriously doubt we get granted leniency in the matter.
With the appeals process still ongoing, N.C. State officials did not want to comment on the situation at this time.
Nevertheless, keep your fingers crossed.
pfft. no way, no how. but thanks for trying.
ReplyDeletehow can you appeal the admissions denial when he didn't supposedly have all he needed to pass h.s.? seems like it is a fairly straight forward issue as far as the ncaa is concerned. state's beef needs to be with lo brown and centennial h.s.
ReplyDeletenothing's over until we say it's over! was it over when the Germans bombed Pearl Harbor? H**l no!
ReplyDeleteThings are not always as they seem. What I've heard is that he transferred schools at some point, and some of his credits did not transfer. It's not a case of Lorenzo being a dummy that can't pass high school.
ReplyDeleteThe reason for our appeal (I heard) is because in many states, he WOULD have been cleared. Just not in Georgia which, unfortunately, is where he is coming from. But the thinking is that he just happens to be in the wrong state at the wrong time, and maybe the NCAA will grant him an exception.
